Setting the Standard

The name of our organisation was chosen to reflect our belief that working together towards a common goal will deliver a benefit to the child which is far greater than any one agency could deliver alone.

Commitment to Quality

Synergy Fostering is focused on meeting the needs of children. We will encourage all our workers to develop partnerships with people from other agencies to engage everyone who is working for the best interests of a child in our care.

Continuous Improvement

Our service is under constant review and we listen to the views of our carers in particular to develop this service. After all, we want them to feel supported so they can offer the most professional parenting for our children.

We are also regulated annually by the Commission of Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and Pan London. Copies of these inspection reports are available on request.

Synergy Fostering are also affiliated with the British Association of Adoption and Fostering and Fostering Network who both provide support in the development of our Foster Carers.

Discrimination

Everyone at Synergy Fostering finds discrimination unacceptable on grounds of race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or age. We will not consider engaging any person with criminal convictions against children or of a violent nature however long ago this may have occurred. We have a no smoking policy that applies in the presence of children.

Support into Action

We know that having a mission is only the first part of the story. You need to know how we intend to deliver on our promises. After all, there are other fostering agencies out there with similar intentions to ours, but we think we are different.

Its always a good idea to have a clear statement of what to expect before you enter into any agreement. So here are some key standards we have set ourselves for performance and quality:

• Visits from a qualified social worker as required.

• Formal supervision once every 4-6 weeks.

• 24 hours / 7 days a week social work support.

• Monthly support forum.

• Agency team meetings twice a year.

• Internal and external training for carers.

• Representation at all reviews and conferences in support of placements.

• Respite care arrangements.
